What We Do
Since 2018, Absaroka Morgans is dedicated to training, showing, and rescuing Morgans and other breeds through intensive care and correct training.
Our Mission
As an organization, we strive to do our very best to find appropriate homes for Morgans in need, consigning them for sales, and showing them in the AMHA Circuit and Open competition. We are not a breeding program for the time being, however, we are dedicated to maintaining the purity of the Morgan Breed.
As a Rescue:
We have rescued many Morgans from detrimental situations.
Each horse goes through a health protocol of correct feeding and vet care.
If the horse needs physical rehabilitation or equine body work, a program will be set in place.
After all these situations are established, we then begin training to help each horse become soft on the ground, and if able, in the saddle.
As a Consignment:
Dedicated to find Morgans correct homes, we are also dedicated to help other peoples’ Morgans find homes.
If selling is not your strong suit, we have a special program of consigning horses.
Consignment horses are placed to us for training, then selling for you afterwards.
This is a three month minimum process due to wanting the best advertisement and new location for your horse.
Consignments include professional photography and video.
As a Training Program:
We specialize in correct bio-mechanics and softness in our training scale.
Emmalie focuses mainly on ground work emphasized around Buck Brannaman teachings.
Once the ground work is safe and solid, we then move to saddle work which is the same teachings as the ground work, but with dressage implemented.
In saddle training, we emphasize specifically in natural horsemanship, dressage, western dressage, working equitation, sport horse under saddle, and ranch work.
