About Blue:

The fragile, long legged horse, who changed my view on horses. In the early summer of 2020, Blue came to me to be started under saddle to be sold. A long list of many problems Blue came with, his heart was not one. He was always the first to knicker at me when I went to feed, he tried his heart out in everything I asked of him, but his past played a daunting role on how he would be started under saddle.

Blue had been heavily abused at one point in his life in Pennsylvania. When they gave up on him, he was then in the slaughter pipeline, where there, his previous owner to me rescued him and brought him back to Washington state. After a couple years, she contacted me about training. While his training was going, it was going slowly. Slowly to the point where it would be nearly impossible to sell him as a riding horse. Instead, I asked her if I could buy him from her. For a single $1, I bought Blue.

For 4 years, Blue has been off and on as a saddle horse, but as of summer 2023, he is back to riding and can now walk and trot under saddle.

Blue made a truly remarkable turnaround. Through patience and dedication to him, he had no reason not to trust the process of what to expect in life.

Blue is now walking and trotting under saddle with no issues, and is happily living his life out as an occasional riding horse.
