About Obi:

While looking for prospects, I originally went to Gladheart Farms to see Obi. I loved Obi completely, but Niko and I had a connection that was undeniable. So instead of purchasing the little black pony, I took the little chestnut one. But I never forgot about Obi.

Obi was purchased by a wonderful woman who I have been in contact with since we both purchased our colts. We would share stories back and forth with each other about the half brothers and would continue to stay in contact. After I moved to Wyoming, I knew Obi was in Colorado and was so excited to be close to Nikos half brother and his owner. To my surprise, she contacted me about Obi and said she was looking to rehome him.

When she contacted me, I asked her if I could visit her and Obi. The following week I was in the car, driving to Colorado to visit them. The goofy little 3 year old was gorgeous and incredibly kind, and with that, I knew I wanted to purchase him. It was then and there that Obi had become mine.

I had no intentions on buying another, but passing on Obi would have been crazy. Along with Niko, I lightly started him under saddle the summer of his 3 year old year. Obi has been marked as one of the easiest colt starts of my career. He is an incredibly easy going horse who just wants to please and get the job done.

Obi is now 5 this year (2024) and has goals of competing in multiple different areas as he is capable of many different events.
